saving artwork as a PNG file
4 EASY STEPS: SAVING PNG FILES FOR DTG PRINTING
First create a new file (File > New). Enter your artwork boad width and height.
We advise you create and supply your artwork to scale - so work on a canvas that’s to 100% of your indtended print size.
Our maximum print area for DTG printing is: H455mm x W355mm
Set your resolution to: 300dpi, your colour mode to: RGB colour and your Background Contents to: Transparent.
Go ahead and create your artwork. If you’re using a logo you’ve made, a photo you’ve taken or even an illustration you’ve created, make sure it’s not sitting on a white background (unless you want it to), as this will print.
For example…
Once you have created your artwork, it’s time to save it. Remember to save it as 100% of the intended print size. You can maintain the transparency on the file, but remember any transparent areas will show the colour of whatever shirt you chose to print onto.
A small PNG options window will then pop up, just click ‘None’ and you’re done.
Please Note: Colours on screen may vary slightly when printed. For the designers of you out there - if you require a close colour match, please feel free to supply us with a CMYK colour code PSD file.
